Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take to process and ship my order?

Because each purchase is treated as a museum-grade work of art made upon order with our meticulous standards, all orders are processed and prepared for transit within an average of 7 business days. For custom finishes or larger-format acrylic face mounts beyond sizes listed, please allow an additional 3–5 days for specialized optical curing and crating. You will receive a white-glove product with a tracking number the moment your artwork leaves our studio.

How are the luxury prints packaged for transit?

We treat our physical imagery with the highest level of care. Smaller unmounted prints are shipped in semi-flat reinforced shipping boxes. Large-format works of acrylic face mounts are wrapped in protective non-marking foam and securely shipped inside packaging to prevent any flex or surface scratching during transit.

Do you ship internationally, and who handles customs/duties?

Yes, we coordinate secure global shipping to collectors worldwide to some countries. If your country is not designated, you will receive a message as such, so feel free to reach out and we'll see if there is an alternative worldwide locale available. Please note that for international deliveries, the recipient is the importer of record and is responsible for any local customs duties, VAT, or import taxes levied by the destination country.

Returns & Damaged Shipments

What is your return policy?

Every photograph is custom-made to order according to your exact specifications (size, medium, and finish). Because these are fine art pieces, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind. We encourage you to measure your space carefully before completing your transaction.

My artwork arrived damaged or broken. What should I do?

Unlike 4-piece framed photography with standard glass, our acrylic face mounts are ideal for shipping to our customers since it is virtually impossible for the acrylic to crack or break in transit, but rare accidents can happen. If your artwork arrives damaged, you must contact our concierge team within 48 hours of delivery.

Important: Please take clear, high-resolution photographs of the damage to the artwork as well as the external and internal packaging. Keep all original crating materials, as the shipping carrier may require an in-person inspection to process the claim. We will immediately fast-track a flawless replacement piece to you at no extra cost once the claim is fully verified and approved.

Copyright & Website Image Usage

Can I download or screenshot images from your website to share online?

All digital imagery displayed on this website is the exclusive, copyrighted property of the photographers, models,  power-of-attorney estates, and/or The Pin-Up Museum Limited. You may not download, screenshot, alter, or redistribute these digital previews for any purpose without explicit, prior written consent from The Pin-Up Museum or its partners. See our Commercial Use section to acquire rights and licensing opportunities with our images.

Am I allowed to repost your pin-up photos on my personal social media?

We are flattered when collectors appreciate the pin-up, boudoir and original artwork! You may share our official social media posts using the platform’s native "Share" features, provided that the photographer and model are clearly credited and tagged. Manually saving the images from our website to upload them as your own content is a violation of international copyright law.

Commercial vs. Non-Commercial Use

When I buy a physical print from The Pin-Up Museum, do I own the rights to the image?

No. When you purchase a luxury print, you are buying the physical artwork for display purposes only. The photographer retains 100% of the copyright, reproduction rights, and intellectual property rights. You may not copy, scan, replicate, or digitally reproduce the print in any way.

Can I use my purchased print for non-commercial purposes?

Absolutely. Non-commercial use is exactly what our stunning prints, encased in their museum=grade acrylic face mounts are intended for. You are fully permitted to display your beautiful artwork proudly in your private home, personal office, corporate lounge, special events or private gallery space.

Can I use the print or website images for commercial use, advertising, or branding?

Commercial use of any image from our collection is strictly prohibited. You cannot use the physical print or digital representations of the artwork in advertisements, promotional videos, commercial website backgrounds, product packaging, or resale merchandise. However, if you are an art director, publication, or brand looking to legally license an image for commercial use, please contact our Senior Curator directly to discuss official licensing contract options, commercial fees or simply the option to purchase the licensing rights for the photography for sale on ThePinupMuseum.com website.

Collector & Product Insights

What is a "Limited Edition" print?

To protect the exclusivity and long-term value of your investment, some of our pin-up, boudoir, reimagined art and pin-up apparel items are sold strictly as Limited Editions. This means only a predetermined, finite number of prints or clothing related items will ever be produced across all respective sizes. Once an edition sells out, it will never be printed again for sale on our website or for in-person sales. Each limited edition piece is accompanied by a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

What makes an Acrylic Face Mount superior to standard framing?

An acrylic face mount is the ultimate luxury presentation for works you will find on ThePinupMuseum.com website. By seamlessly bonding the print directly to optical-grade acrylic, we eliminate the air gap found in traditional frames. This also removes visual refraction, creating a luminous depth with absolute color fidelity. It is the closest visually to what the Photographer captures through their camera lens, giving the pin-up or boudoir model an incredibly vibrant, lifelike presence on your wall as if the negative itself is enlarged to perfection with no interference.

How should I clean and care for my luxury acrylic print?

Our acrylic face mounts feature built-in UV protection, but they should never be exposed to direct, harsh sunlight for extended periods. To clean, simply wipe the surface gently with a clean, dry, ultra-soft microfiber cloth. Never use chemical glass cleaners, ammonia, or alcohol-based solvents, as these will permanently scratch or cloud the optical acrylic layer.

Do you offer the photos sold on The Pin-Up Museum website without face mount framing in matte or glossy prints?

Yes. If you are interested in purchasing the prints themselves, let us know what you are interested in and we can send you a quote for your project or personal collection. That said, these will be "prints only." Framing services will not be performed on our end, but we can refer local framing shops in your area to vet their quality of work on your own. Please reach out to our Art Concierge team via our Contact Page to discuss a custom "print only" project with our alluring collection at The Pin-Up Museum.
